Berlusconi Arrives in Crimea for Private Visit, Plans to Meet With Putin

SIMFEROPOL (Sputnik) Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has arrived in Crimea on a private visit and plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his stay.

Putin has said in the past that he and Berlusconi have a very friendly relationship.

Putin and Berlusconi met at the end of June during the former Italian leader’s visit to Russia’s Altai Region, and before that, on June 11, they both met during Putin’s visit to Italy.
