The pipeline of office space for 2008-2010 is significant across the region. Office. Office supply in the region experienced significant increase in the second half of 2007. As of the end of 2007 Class A office inventory in Sofia stood at 369 600 sq m, in Bucharest ? 608 200 sq m, and Belgrade ? 244 200 sq m. The segment saw record absorption levels. Exceeding all expectations for 2007, in Sofia it reached 161 000 sq m. Leased and pre-leased space in Bucharest reached 203 800 sq m last year. High street locations continue to enjoy good demand and retain past rental levels between 50-130 euro a sq m per month in Sofia.In terms of modern retail space, Bulgaria is still relatively under-supplied with an average shopping mall ratio of 15 sq m a 1000 capita. In Sofia this ratio is 60 sq m against 1 000 inhabitants, which is still relatively low. A total of 30 000 Romanians visited the Bulgarian resort last year and their number is expected to rise by as much as 30 per cent, officials from the resort"s administration announced. Bulgaria"s coastal resort of Albena is to be officially presented in 18 of the biggest Romanian cities in a bid to attract more tourists, Darik radio reports. The presentations will include tasting of typical Bulgarian meals as well as a win-a-prize lottery. |

Prime rents for industrial space in the country remained at levels from the first half of 2007 at 3.8 ? 5.5 a sq m, and are expected to remain stable throughout H1 2008.By the end of 2007 the total inventory of contemporary logistics and industrial large-size projects in Sofia and the region accounted for about 1 200 000 sq m, with only 165 000 sq m of speculative space.
