The Varna mayor of Bulgaria"s sea capital reported that they had discussed possibilities for twinning Varna with a harbour city in the UK. Around , the UK Ambassador to Bulgaria Steve Williams said at a meeting with Varna mayor Kiril Yordanov on February 19. He added that the British "colony" in Bulgaria is increasing all the time, although he has no statistics for their exact number. According to the diplomat, they may number about a thousand.
