Russia and China agree $400bn natural gas supply deal

Alexei Miller, chief of Russia's state-run, Gazprom, said the Chinese contract will hit gas prices paid by European utilities

Russia's landmark deal to supply natural gas to China will affect prices in Europe and have an impact on international liquefied natural gas projects, the chief executive of state-run Gazprom said .

Russia and China signed a 30-year gas supply contractworth more than $400bn (£237bn), during a visit by President Vladimir Putin to Shanghai.
