NATO overstepped its UN mandate in Libya, Russia’s FM Sergei Lavrov told the CNN on Saturday. “The international embargo on arms deliveries to Libya was openly violated… The country’s neighbors made no secret of the fact that they were supplying weapons [to the opposition]. France publicly admitted such deliveries and foreign commandos were also very active there,” Lavrov said. ”We are discussing all this with the North Atlantic Alliance, because some people see the Libya operation as a model for the future. This begs for serious international discussion,” the minister added.
