In the first half of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, the turnover of restaurants and cafes in Novosibirsk increased by 19%. At the same time, the average monthly turnover of one catering outlet in Novosibirsk increased by 42%, T-Bank analysts found. In terms of the growth in the number of transactions in the catering sector, Novosibirsk took first place in the country, overtaking Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar and Moscow in this indicator. At the same time, the average bill in catering establishments in Novosibirsk increased by 7%.

According to the data of the geoanalytics service "Compass", in the first half of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, the number of catering outlets in Novosibirsk increased by 12%. According to 2GIS, today 244 restaurants, almost 2,000 fast food cafes, etc. are registered in the city.

At the same time, T-Bank analysts note that the city still has a fairly high level of competition and Restaurant Occupancy: on average, 31 food outlets within a 3 km radius. This figure has grown by 32% over the year. Individual entrepreneurs account for 69% of catering establishments in Novosibirsk, while LLCs account for 31%.

In large cities, the number of restaurants in the "near home" format located in residential areas is growing faster. The ergonomics of cities is changing slightly. Previously, it was customary to come to the center, walk along the central streets, and go to restaurants. Now in large cities, developers and urban planners practice a more holistic approach to the development of the territory and are actively creating infrastructure "near home" - and people like it. They prefer to relax, play sports, go to restaurants near home, when they do not need to go anywhere. The relevance of central locations is fading into the background.
