Pakistan asked to extradite Rabbani killers
Sunday, 02 October 2011 19:45

Afghan services believe the assassination of ex-President Burhanuddin Rabbani in a suicide bombing attack in Kabul on September 20th was the work of a Taliban ring based in the Pakistani city of Quetta.

Accordingly, Afghanistan has formally asked Pakistan to extradite several suspects in the Rabbani killing.

The Pakistani side has received the addresses, phone numbers and names.

Rabbani was killed by a visitor posing as a peace negotiator for the Taliban. The bomb was hidden in his turban. (RIAN)
