In Yemen, the total death toll in the clashes between the opposition and the government now stand at over 1400 people, says Vice Minister of Information Abdou Al-Djanadi. The figure includes civil and military casualties. In January this year, inspired by revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt, the Yemenis went into open confrontation with the government of Ali Abdullah Saleh that has been in power for the last 33 years. The opposition demands that the government immediately resign. (TASS)
