Turkey will not renew its gas contracts with Russia. Turkish authorities say the two sides failed to agree on the discounts Turkey hoped for as a transit country. Meanwhile, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Taner Yildiz says the termination of gas contracts will not affect the relationships of the two countries.

The current gas agreements between the two states end by the beginning of next year. (TASS)
