Speaking at a conference of his Conservative Party which opened in Manchester, the British Prime Minister David Cameron has reaffirmed commitment to further deficit cutting, despite poor growth statistics in the UK.

In the street outside, over 30 thousand marchers were venting their anger at the planned cuts. They clamoured for economic growth, justice and jobs.

TUC leader Tony Lloyd accused the Tories of trying to patch up holes at the expense of the British workers. (TASS)
