The Syrian opposition is due to open an embassy in the Turkish capital Ankara next week, according to the Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan. He also said in an interview with the British daily The Guardian that Turkey would slap sanctions on the current Syrian authorities shortly. The move will be officially made public during Erdogan’s forthcoming visit to a Syrian refugee camp in the south of Turkey.
